Every spiritual rebirth begins with the death of cherished materialistic attachments to pleasure. Every personal transformation that’s more than skin deep is propelled by the outgrowing of who and what we may previously have believed about ourselves and the world.
Card designed by Pamela Coleman Smith, The Rider Wait Tarot.
Shedding our old selves and being reborn with awakened consciousness, is metamorphosis in action. Opening to higher frequencies of consciousness demystifies this reality. The mind that is transformed loses its encumberences like a butterfly emerging from the cocoon of its metamorphosis.
To speak of these things is to attempt to make the nebulous intelligible. Whilst hobbled by the material restrictions imposed from without, we are attempting to make the internal world comprehensible.
Some may liken this process akin to making bricks out of water. We are dealing with the subtle nature of Being, and at best it may only be possible to lay down markers for those that follow.
Regrettably, the process of awakened transformation has already been hijacked making it even more of a precarious a process to traverse than it needs to be.
Misinformation and misdirection is rife in new age spirituality, and to complicate matters, there are infinite pathways to Self realisation and enlightenment. Finding the correct path to follow is sometimes a simple matter of trial and error and no two paths are exactly the same. Or we approach these from our own particular idiosyncratic persuasion and relate to them uniquely. Needless to say, our lives are our paths and we forge them in the fires of rebirth.
Metamorphosis means that even the old becomes new, and not in the sense of retrofitting it with the spare parts of others. It is a systematic breaking down and purging of the psyches waste material. The removal of all restrictions disrupting the harmonious ease of evolving consciousness.
For those who have undergone radical personal deconditioning there is the possibility to regain the full restoration of consciousness, but at what cost?
The death of the old and the adaptation of the conscious entity towards more appropriate means for navigating a contradictory and misrepresented reality. To interface with that reality, and to willfully shape it and flesh it out in technicolor.
The shedding of old vanities and all such follies that have no place in life is a property of awakening consciousness, that is open to the possibility of enlightenment, through the recognition of the impermanence of all conditioned phenomenon, including the avatar itself. Such realisation of impermenance within oneself, presupposes egolessness as prerequisite. The union of inner and outer realities, as above so below.
We are bringing into creation a new “world” and a new “me”, birthing a holistic and unified existence where the terms inner and outer no longer have significance.
Where the embodiment of the Christic and Bodhisattva ideals will become a passageway for humanity towards paradise on earth. No hatred and no violence, no killing, and proper ethical living, in accord with Ethical Law and The Noble Eightfold Path.
The death of this world is inevitable and we must prepare for it, within ourselves, in readiness for unprecedented upheaval ahead. This revolution is an internal revolution of our very basic conceptions of modern life, and at its inception it precedes outer changes that have become necessary. We can rebuild with materials made and reknown anew.
We shall reap the benefits of what is sown, in the seeding of our future potential selves from all the infinite possibilities, by becoming all that each can be, now. And by dropping all of the trappings of illusion that has placed scales over our eyes.
The timeline humanity is on leads to certain destruction yet there is still hope that with enough awakened consciousness, a new timeline can be materialised. This natural phenomenon is made possible by the true nature of consciousness, and it’s connectivity with all consciousness.
Such a task is no small thing, and is progressed incrementally until the aggregate of marginal gaines can be measured against the overarching task at hand.
Involution leads to evolution, as above, so below. Reality is transformed alchemically, when our base instincts are transmuted into the stuff of evolutionary potentiallity, on a planetary scale.
We are the co-creators of our reality and this secret has been withheld in order to perpetuate a world of “others” for “others.”
We shall create an inclusive reality by intentional manifestation. By following the inner path of outer transformation. The occulted Esoteric path of personal and planatary transformation, that have been embedded in the ancient teaching wisdom.
We return to our spiritual roots of a unified spiritual exercise of liberty. No artificial boundaries exist in spirituality, only in religion. Whilst it is impudent to throw the baby out with the bath water, spirituality is essentially unified.
From The Emerald Tablets to the channelled messages from Seth through Jane Roberts. (See my earlier post, below):
We are standing as a race at the precipice of an abyss. Now is the time that we whither or triumph and for the latter possibility to come about, it will become necessary to relearn how we approach knowledge.
For make no mistake, knowledge leads either to demise or to power, and it is up to every individual now, to summon their warrior spirit, and to dance their power into something altogether more marvelous than the mess we must clear up.
I wish to be clear in this: that viewed multidimensionally, we are dancing our power dance in preparation for the Warrior's Last Stand.
That these words swim across your mind, sending ripples that shall awaken the giant within, is perhaps a fanciful notion, however such stirrings as the flapping of a butterfly's wings can have repercussion beyond what is known with any great certainty. Chaos theory was created upon such models.
I leave you with a useful video presentation :

Finally, from the work of Rachel Pollack, Seventy Eight Degrees of Wisdom, A Book of Tarot, I leave you with the following quotes…
“The ego sees surrender as death - dissolution in the sea of life. The person who wrote this is a tarot reader. Eliot’s poem (The Wasteland), helped to popularise Tarot cards in the 1920’s. Specifically it made famous the Hanged Man.” (Page 89)
“Because the ego resists the very idea of death and therefore keeps us from enjoying life we must sometimes take extreme steps to get past it. The initiation rites always led up to a simulated death and rebirth. The initiate is led to believe that he or she is actually about to die. Everything is done to make his death as real as possible so that the ego will be tricked and in fact will experience that dreaded dissolution. Then, when the initiate is ‘reborn’ he or she experiences a new maturity and a new freedom of energy. In recent years many people have experienced something very like these rites through using psychedelic drugs. They believe they are dying and feel themselves reborn. However, without the preparation symbolised by the Hanged Man the experience can often be deeply disturbing.
Contrary to what many people believe, the card of death does not actually refer to transformation. Rather it shows us the precise moment at which to give up the old masks and allow the transformation to take place. Perhaps we can understand this better if we consider the Tarot’s parallel in psychotherapy. By force of will (strength) the person, with the help of the therapist / guide (the Hermit), allows knowledge to emerge of who he or she really is, and what habits or fears he or she wishes to shed (Wheel and Justice). This knowledge brings calm and desire to change (the Hanged Man). But then a fear sets in. ‘If I give up my behaviour ‘, the person thinks, ‘Maybe there will be nothing left. I will die.’ We live under the ego's control for so many years we come to believe that nothing else exists. The mask is all that we know. Often people will stay stuck in therapy for years because they fear release. The nothingness of the Fool terrifies them.” (Page 92 and 93)
Loved this Elliot. One of my favorite books is “The Ego is the Enemy” by Ryan Holiday. Much fit. ☺️
Elliot, WOW. And...much more. Potent. Powerful. Pointed in many directions. I have just started the film on "Magic" and the WORD...not far in so far but want to say before I go further we have shifted or perhaps shifting from the WORD to the NUMBER. Numbers seem to be the base of all communications...and there is no person on the other end hearing, seeing, figuring the number out...perhaps the ON=OFF switch or OFF=ON. Jung is a strong character in the drama of 20th - 21st 100's of years.
Ego is a construct - a conditioned training we all receive until we see through to the fundamental point of the illusion. Drop the ego and see what happens. Empty the mind and there is no bondage.
Nothing of value, nothing in it for the ego. Christ emptied himself...otherwise he would have screamed at the thought of crucifixion.
