I say let the masses be asses! The collective is gonna collective, mainstream is gonna mainstream. There are many of us sovereign individual errants exiting and building, operating freely and making masterpieces of our lives by breaking the constraints on our minds and reclaiming the agency of our powers to dream and create.
Hello Jacqueline 😊 thank you 🙏 Keep being different 😜 I'm not much on this site anymore but from time to time feel compelled to chime in with my two cents worth. Take care 🙏
Thank you Liz and I agree that it is more than sometimes easy to forget that we are living in a simulation, or as the Buddha put it, that the world is an illusion/ Maya. This is because reality is an immersive interactive simulation with very real consequences on the dense slowed down plane of the physical material dimension. But this is precisely why it is an effective simulation for the evolution of consciousness - there must be friction between objects and elements, equal and opposite effects and the whole gamut of restrictions and limitations of duality in this reality dimension, for consciousness to effectively bootstrap itself into a higher order of quality.
Perhaps for an NPC you are right, but for an individuated unit of consciousness intuitively engaged in its own evolutionary process, no. It's in the intent behind it’s choices and actions that determines the quality of it’s consciousness, which is outside of the simulation but logged on to the reality frame of the immersive interactive/ participitive experiencial evolutionary process that it is undergoing. Consciousness is non local and always learning, growing, developing and lowering entropy, or it de-evolves or breaks down into random bits. But it gets to decide, and its the choices it makes and the intent behind them that determines which. I hope this helps.
Are you familiar with the book I Am That? It is a compilation of talks on Shiva Advaita philosophy by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj. I am coming from the perspective reflected in this book. I understand the philosophy that you’re posting on, I just don’t think ultimately “personal consciousness” is real. It is part of a phenomenon experienced in this material manifest plain that helps the cartoon seem real. That way the creator of this can have more fun playing with itself. I agree that you have the mechanics of this phenomenon down pretty good. The individuated unit of consciousness really does seem to be intuitively engaged in its own evolutionary process. Isn’t it a wonderful multi dimensional cartoon?
Thank you. I've encountered the work of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj and there's much that I like about it. Have you encountered the work of Sri Aurobindo?
I haven’t, I’ll check it out. I want to let you know that I appreciate your desire to know what the core of this creation is. You are seeking the source and truth of our existence and our plight in the manifest world. So refreshing not to read another screed about how bad Trump or the left is, how the Boomers destroyed the economy, what COVID jabs and chemtrails are doing to our bodies, and on it goes. I don’t want to descend into some silly philosophical minutia discussion with you because you are a kindred spirit. We are seeking the same thing. Good luck on the journey.

Hello, by the way! Nice to see you Elliot. :)

Hard to remember at times like this but it is all an illusion, Maya when we become self realised it all disappears. From form to the Formless.

Perhaps there is some truth to this?
